We are located very close to Whitton Rail station for trips to London. It’s a 9-minute walk due Southwest of the house.
However, if you’d like to explore a bit closer the bus stop is just up the road to the North (see the map on the last page).
Bus 281 will get you to Twickenham & Kingston; payment is via tap and go (card or mobile phone).
Lime bikes and scooters are also available, you will need the Lime app for use.
Two off-street private parking spots are available. We do recommend you park on the drive as the road is restricted during planned events.

The heating and hot water are both on a schedule. You can adjust the temperature and hot water using the thermostat in the reception table.
The hot water is set to come on automatically when you turn on the taps/shower so you don’t need to worry about any specific settings.
The remote should be on the coffee table. Please log in with your various app credentials (Netflix, Prime, BBC, etc).
Don’t forget to log out again.
Sofa bed linen is in the bedroom cupboard.
The sofa bed is easy to set up, lift the base until you hear a slight click and lower.
To reset, lift the base until you hear a click and lower.

All kitchen electrical points are below the counter. Use the handles to lift the points if you need access for other appliances.
The gas hob is fairly easy to use as in the video below.
Please make sure the dishwasher is full before turning on. You’ll find the dishwasher tablets in the kitchen sink cupboard. The most efficient program is as follows, power, L, start.
The top oven is also a microwave.
Please use the dish cover when microwaving food.
Do not use metal dishes remove all plastics before using the oven setting.
To get to the microwave setting
Power, Home, arrow right once to microwave, down to power level (600 or Max), down to timer.
The oven has all the standard features, please use the trays in the oven and where possible please use foil (second drawer below hob) to protect the trays for the next guests.
The washer is in the kitchen. Please don’t use the dryer function as it’s temperamental at the moment.
You’ll find the user manual in the bottom drawer.
The extractor fan is fairly easy to use as in the video below.
The coffee machine capsules are in the corner cupboard above the kettle.
The house bin is in the kitchen cupboard under the bread board.
Recycling is collected on Wednesday mornings. Recycling boxes are out back. If possible, please put recycling and the rubbish (in the black bin) on the drive Tuesday evenings.
Although rare, on occasions it may be necessary to use the fusebox in case something trips the electrics. On these occasions, we need to make sure that all the switches are in the same ‘up’ position. If you are unsure, you can always contact us for clarification.
The fusebox is located in the cupboard above the oven in the kitchen.
Make sure to setup the connections on the Wi-Fi router by ensuring:
London is a 25-minute train trip from Whitton and offers a wealth of sights and entertainment.
Richmond is closer and if you have the time, Richmond Park is a must see. Deer, birds, hares and a haven of nature with wonderful views of London.

Please note that we cannot extend checkout beyond 10:00AM as we have a very tight turnaround before the next guest arrives.
We cannot delay the cleaners from their other jobs. If you think you need longer please book and pay for an extra nights’ accommodation before staying at the property.
